Project DARI works with diverse theatre companies and festivals as a producer, programmer, and facilitator. ‘Dari’ means ‘Bridge’ in Korean. Going beyond the walls and boundaries is the key values of Project DARI in order to bridge arts/artists/society for the better now and future. Project DARI provides facilitation and mediates the process, while produces and programs new ideas to the arts in public spaces. Project DARI is also specialized in international relations including programming for arts markets and designing professional development programs for producers and arts practitioners.
Project DARI is connecting different possibilities and capabilities inter/nationally. Facilitating partners to work together and develop project accordingly is how Project DARI works. Upcoming plan of Project DARI is on Asian Connection Program called ‘Majungmul Project’ which is an international residency program for emerging producers in Asian countries. Main goal of this project is on broadening the network of trust and sharing resources for the collaborative future.
Project DARI works in various forms from support in the creative ideas and process to the production and development; from touring of the shows to international collaboration. Recently Project DARI has worked with Ansan Street Arts Festival, Gwangju Fringe Festival, and Suwon Theatre Festival as a producer and a programmer by introducing international artists and professionals to Korean festivals and platforms.

Jin Yim, a founder of Project DARI is an independent producer and researcher based in South Korea. She has worked on a wide range of art projects including performance, theater, and multidisciplinary arts in various spaces. Her main interests are in the arts in public spaces and international mobility for performing arts.
Since 2010, Jin has produced, programmed, and facilitated the performing arts festivals and arts in public spaces. She started her career as a producer for Hi Seoul Festival’s international program in 2010. After working in Hi Seoul Festival for 3 years, she got to work as a program manager at Ansan Street Arts Festival in 2013-15, and as a programmer at ACC International Fringe in 2017, Gwacheon Festival in 2019-20, and Pohang Festival in 2018-2022. Her experiences had been broadened to the arts market, when she got to work with Street Arts Market in Seoul for 3 years in 2016-18 as an executive producer, programming showcases and networking programs for street arts professionals. In Performing Arts Market in Seoul (PAMS), she had been in charge of international relations of street arts industry for two years since 2020, and had worked as an co-associate director of PAMS in 2022.
Her main practices are also in the developing and mediating creative process for arts productions. She works with Physical Theater Company Momggol and I-Moment as a creative producer, also in charge of project-based productions with Visual Theater Company CCOT and Contemporary Dance Company White Cube Project as an affiliate producer.
Currently Jin is an associate director of Suwon Theatre Festival, a planning team member of Asian Producers’ Platform, and a Global Fellowship Recipient of ISPA 2023/24. In 2019, she established the collective company ‘Project DARI’ with fellow creative producers. Dari means ‘Bridge’ in Korean, which stands for connectivity of/through arts.
